Karen Stevens Ombudsman
Karen is a barrister and qualified arbitrator and mediator. With a background in civil litigation and alternative dispute resolution, she was appointed Insurance & Financial Services Ombudsman, in May 1998. Karen has a Master of Laws degree from La Trobe University.

About 10% of complaints to the IFSO Scheme involve non-disclosure. For the 22 years the IFSO Scheme has provided a dispute resolution service, non-disclosure has been one of the main issues for consumers.

Some cases are clear and people have deliberately failed to provide information they were asked for. However, in many cases, people unintentionally leave out information, because they have forgotten, or they do not realise it is so important.

Using case studies from complaints to the IFSO Scheme, this webinar will look at:

· The law relating to non-disclosure
· Clients\\\' common misunderstandings about non-disclosure
· How you can assist clients
· The Fair Insurance Code and future areas for reform.

Fee: $29.00 GST inclusive. Group bookings - $90.00 GST inclusive – for groups of 5 to ten people at one location.
